Phone & SMS setup

Connect calling and texting so reps can use Dialer, SMS Inbox, broadcasts, and call logging.

Before you begin

  • You need admin access to connect or change workspace Phone & SMS settings.
  • Reps need an assigned outbound number before they can call or text.
  • Some dialer modes require a paid plan or additional setup.

Connect the integration

  • Open Integrations, then Phone & SMS.
  • Complete the provider connection flow.
  • Provision or connect the numbers your team will use.
  • Assign a default outbound number to each rep.
  • Confirm the country and region match your calling and SMS needs.

Caller ID and line assignment

  • Use a local number when possible.
  • Verify caller ID before high-volume calling.
  • Keep personal caller IDs separate from shared team numbers.
  • Document which line belongs to each team or campaign.

Common blocked states

  • Integration disconnected.
  • No assigned outbound line.
  • Insufficient credits or plan access.
  • Recipient is opted out or marked do-not-contact.
  • Phone number is invalid, landline, or unverified for SMS.
