Before you begin

Open Contacts or Leads from the sidebar at /dashboard/leads. Real estate workspaces use Contacts. Other industries use Leads. The URL can still say /dashboard/leads because the underlying record type is shared.

What each record contains

  • Timeline — email, SMS, calls, notes, form submissions, cadence steps
  • Actions — compose, text, log call, enroll cadence, ask Flow scoped to this record
  • Assignee and stage — update per your role permissions
  • Source — shows where the record came from, such as manual add, form, import, Meta, or inbox
  • Linked work — meetings, tasks, deals, listings, documents, or transactions when available

What you should see

You should be able to find a person, understand who owns the next step, see the record history, and choose whether to call, email, text, schedule, enroll, assign, or update stage.

Common issues

  • Wrong label — real estate workspaces should say Contacts; other industries should say Leads
  • Cannot edit — you may not own the record; ask an admin to reassign it
  • Duplicate warning — review merge suggestion instead of creating a second record
  • Record missing — clear filters, groups, and smart queues before assuming it is gone
