Symptom
- Duplicate warning when adding or importing leads
- Two timelines for the same contact
Common causes
- Same email or phone submitted twice (form, import, Meta)
- Import did not match existing record
- Rep manually created duplicate
Fix
- Use merge suggestion when prompted on create/import
- Leads → open duplicate → Merge — pick primary record
- Form filter on Leads list to find source duplicates
- Prefer merge over delete to preserve timeline history
