Why enroll or send steps block — and what to fix on the lead record.

Email block reasons

  • NO_EMAIL — lead has no email address
  • DO_NOT_EMAIL — lead opted out of email
  • OUTBOUND_SUPPRESSED — bounce or complaint suppression
  • NOT_VERIFIED — run email verify on the lead (uses credits)
  • NOT_DELIVERABLE — verification status is not deliverable

SMS block reasons

  • NO_PHONE — no phone on lead
  • NOT_VERIFIED — verify phone before automated SMS
  • LANDLINE_OR_VOIP — automated SMS requires verified mobile
  • SMS_OPT_OUT — number replied STOP
  • DO_NOT_CONTACT — cross-channel opt-out
  • INVALID / UNKNOWN — carrier lookup failed

Form-specific

SMS steps skip when marketing consent was unchecked on form submit. Email steps may still run if email is eligible.

What to do

  • Open cadence instance on lead detail — read skip reason on the step row
  • Fix lead fields, verify contact info, or clear opt-out when appropriate and compliant
  • Manual touch from Inbox or Dialer when automation cannot run
