Before you begin

Use manual add when you have one new person to enter. Use import when you have a spreadsheet. Real estate workspaces call the record a Contact; other industries call it a Lead.

What you should see

The new record should appear in Contacts or Leads, have the selected owner and stage, and show an initial timeline event for creation.

Common issues

  • Duplicate warning — check the existing record before saving a second copy
  • Cannot choose assignee — your role may not include assignment permission
  • Record saved but not visible — clear filters, groups, and queues
