Lead stages and pipeline settings

Create, reorder, and maintain contact or lead stages for consistent follow-up.

Before you begin

Admins manage pipeline stages. Stages should match how your team qualifies and follows up with contacts or leads before a deal exists.

Manage stages

  • Open Settings
  • Go to pipeline or stage settings
  • Add, rename, reorder, or archive stages
  • Define what must be true before a record moves to each stage
  • Save changes and review the board

What you should see

The stage list should match the board columns and give reps a clear rule for when to move a contact or lead forward.

Common issues

  • Stage missing from board — refresh and confirm it is active
  • Reports changed — stage edits can affect historical pipeline interpretation
  • Reps disagree on stages — add exit criteria to your team playbook
